About RK

The work is strategic.
The relationship is personal.

RK is a hands-on marketing partner built around two complementary perspectives: Ryan's focus on strategy, performance, and digital systems, and Karen's instinct for story, design, and the experience a brand creates.

Together, we help businesses make their marketing clearer, more connected, and more effective — without losing what makes them human.

Ryan and Karen — RK Digital Transformation

The People Behind RK

Two perspectives.
One clear direction.

Ryan and Karen do not divide the work into "creative" and "strategy." They look at the same challenge from different angles, challenge each other's assumptions, and build the answer together.

Ryan brings a focus on strategy, performance, and how the pieces of a marketing system connect. Karen brings an instinct for positioning, story, design, and the experience a brand creates.

The strongest answer usually lives somewhere between those perspectives.

The Idea Behind the Mark

Transformation is not about becoming something unrecognizable.

The butterfly in the RK identity represents transformation, but not change for the sake of change.

The strongest businesses already have something worth building on: knowledge, relationships, reputation, ambition, or a story that has not been expressed clearly enough. Our job is to find that potential, give it structure, and help it move forward.

Sometimes that means a new website or a stronger campaign. Sometimes it means clearer positioning, better follow-up, or finally connecting marketing efforts that have been operating separately.

Transformation does not always begin with a dramatic reinvention. Often, it begins with clarity.

Keep what
matters.

Change what's
holding it back.

Ryan Weckerly, Brand & Digital Experience Strategist

Ryan Weckerly

Brand & Digital Experience Strategist

Finding the connection between the idea and the outcome.

Ryan has spent more than 25 years helping businesses find clearer ways to present themselves, reach the right people, and turn marketing activity into meaningful progress.

His experience crosses brand strategy, website development, paid media, search, social media, campaign development, and business growth. That range allows him to see the connections between channels — and to recognize when a website problem is actually a positioning problem, when an advertising problem begins with the offer, or when better results require a stronger follow-up system.

Ryan is naturally curious about both the numbers and the people behind them. He can move from conversion data and search behavior to campaign ideas and brand language without treating those as separate conversations. His approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in understanding what a business actually needs — not simply what can be sold to it.

He believes the best work happens when people trust one another, enjoy the process, and feel comfortable having honest conversations.

Outside the RK website, Ryan writes about marketing, entrepreneurship, rebuilding, resilience, work, and life at RyanWeckerly.com.

Karen Weckerly, Brand Innovation Partner

Karen Weckerly

Brand Innovation Partner

Seeing the story, experience, and possibilities others miss.

Karen brings an unusually broad creative perspective to RK. Her background spans professional music, entrepreneurship, product development, design, storytelling, and building a consumer brand from the ground up.

As the founder of Coroco Coffee Roaster Collective, Karen experienced branding from the owner's side. She navigated the realities of launching and growing a business, creating products, shaping packaging, building customer experiences, expanding into new sales channels, and finding ways for a brand to remain distinct in a competitive market.

Her years as a professional violinist also shaped how she works. Great performances require preparation, precision, interpretation, timing, and an understanding of how individual elements contribute to the whole. Karen brings that same sensitivity to brand work.

At RK, she helps businesses uncover what makes them meaningful and translate it into positioning, language, visuals, campaigns, and experiences people can remember. She has a particular ability to notice the detail that feels slightly off, find the stronger idea beneath it, and help turn that idea into something tangible.

Karen makes sure the work does not merely function. It should feel right, too.

Why the Partnership Works

One asks how it performs.
The other asks how it feels.

The strongest answer usually lives somewhere between those questions. RK brings both perspectives together from the beginning — strategy is not handed off to creative, and creative is not added after the strategy is finished.

Marketing that is clear, connected, memorable, and built to perform.

What Guides the Work

A few things we believe.

Clarity before activity.

More marketing is not always the answer. First, we determine what the business needs to say, who needs to hear it, and what should happen next.

Everything should connect.

Your website, search presence, advertising, social content, brand, and follow-up process should reinforce one another — not operate as unrelated projects.

Honesty makes the work better.

Good partnerships require direct conversations. We will share what we see, explain why it matters, and tell you when we believe there is a better path.

Work with people, not accounts.

The best results grow from trust, curiosity, mutual respect, and a willingness to enjoy the process. We want to know the people behind the business, not just the marketing assignment.

From Ryan's Journal

The thinking behind the work — and the life around it.

Ryan writes about marketing, entrepreneurship, resilience, family, work, and the experience of building forward. The journal is more personal than the RK website, but the same values run through both: curiosity, honesty, useful ideas, and the belief that progress rarely follows a perfectly straight line.

Work That Matters

Success should create room to help.

Some of RK's most meaningful work has supported organizations, families, and causes with stories that deserved a wider audience. That work is a reminder that marketing is not only about reach, clicks, or revenue. Used well, it can rally a community, fund an important effort, and help good work travel farther.
